DENVER (KDVR) — The Denver Nuggets released their court design for the 2024-2025 Emirates NBA Cup in a Facebook post on Friday.

All 30 NBA teams are given the opportunity to stylize their home floor for the tournament that takes place during the NBA regular season. While some parts of the floor's design are consistent across every team's court, teams are allowed to give their own twist to the design.

The Nuggets' court for this year's tournament pays homage to the former color scheme of the team and honors a Nuggets legend with his name etched in the hardwood.

For those who have been Nuggets fans for several decades, the new floor will take you on a trip down memory lane to when the Nuggets were not the midnight blue of today. The floor resembles the gold and maroon colors the team wore in the 90s and early 2000s, which are now accent colors for the current Nuggets color scheme.

All of the hardwood within the out-of-bounds lines is gold, more specifically sunshine yellow, and the apron outside the court is maroon-ish, called flat irons red. A blue variation of the Nugget's pick ax logo is at center court and Ball Arena logos are near the top by the scorer's table. A large but faint, mile-high city, spans across the interior of the court.

Highlighted in white around the court are the press boxes, elevation 5280, Denver Nuggets and a special tribute to Dikembe Mutombo's number 55 jersey in honor of the Nuggets star after he died from brain cancer in late September.

The Nuggets are in Group C in the tournament. They will compete against the Dallas Mavericks, Golden State Warriors, New Orleans Pelicans and Memphis Grizzlies to progress out of the group stage and into the knockout rounds of the tournament.

Their first game of the tournament is Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. against the Pelicans.
