DENVER (KDVR) — A child was seriously injured after they were hit by a car Monday morning.
The crash occurred in the 18000 block of East Hawaii Drive in Aurora's Side Creek neighborhood.
The Aurora Police Department told FOX31 that a 39-year-old woman was backing out of the driveway when a kid darted behind the car. The child was reportedly hit and taken to a local hospital for serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
Aurora police said the woman was ticketed for careless driving.
It is unclear if the child and the woman had any relationship with each other.
