Rockies return most of TV crew, announce spring training schedule

SCOTTSDALE, ARIZ. — The Rockies announced their six-game spring training TV schedule Thursday and unveiled their broadcast crew for the 2024 season.

The team will stream the club’s first Cactus League game at 1 p.m. Friday, when they play the Diamondbacks at Salt River Fields.

Fans can view games on Rockies.tv, the new direct-to-consumer streaming option for all Rockies regular-season games this year (excluding national TV exclusive games). All six spring training games can be streamed for free. The cost for Rockies.tv broadcasts during the regular season is $19.99 per month or  $99.99 for the full regular season.

Information on where fans will be able to watch Rockies regular-season games through a traditional cable or satellite provider will be announced before the March 28 season opener, the club said.

Most of the Rockies’ longtime TV crew will return this season. Play-by-play announcer Drew Goodman is returning to the booth for his 23rd season calling Rockies games. He will be joined by analysts Jeff Huson, Ryan Spilborghs and Cory Sullivan, with Kelsey Wingert and Marc Stout returning in their roles as sideline reporters.

One familiar broadcaster who is not returning is Jenny Cavnar. Cavnar, a longtime member of the Rockies’ TV broadcast team, left the Rockies last week to become the play-by-play announcer for the Oakland Athletics. The move makes the Smoky Hill High School and CSU alumna the first female primary play-by-play voice in MLB history.

Following is the Rockies’ spring training TV streaming schedule (all times MST):

• Friday, 1:10 p.m., Rockies vs. Diamondbacks

•  Saturday, 1:10 p.m., Rockies at Diamondbacks

• March 1, 1:10 p.m., Rockies vs. Mariners

• March 15, 1:10 p.m., Rockies vs. Rangers

• March 16, 4:10 p.m., Rockies vs. Diamondbacks

• March 26, 12:10 p.m., Rockies vs. Brewers

The Rockies open the 2024 regular season on March 28 at Arizona before returning home for their home opener against Tampa Bay on April 5 at Coors Field.
